About the Author

Brian Christensen is a construction worker, yoga enthusiast, and lifelong student of personal growth. Raised in Oregon and now living in Las Vegas with his wife and daughters, his life has been shaped by an ongoing search for stability, meaning, and direction.

After a turbulent youth that included hitchhiking, experimentation, and self-discovery, Brian eventually built a career in the construction industry while raising a family. Though his professional life was grounded in practical work, his personal life became an ongoing exploration of deeper questions about consciousness, responsibility, and what it means to live well.

Over time that search led him into yoga, meditation, psychology, and philosophy, where he encountered ideas that helped transform a restless pursuit of “something more” into a grounded sense of presence and gratitude.

Influenced by thinkers such as Carl Jung, Gabor Maté, and Brené Brown, Brian explores the intersection of rational thinking and spiritual insight. He is particularly interested in translating profound inner experiences into language that everyday people can understand and apply.

His debut book, A Book About Being, combines memoir and reflection to trace his journey from troubled youth to a life centered on awareness, responsibility, and personal growth. Through stories, lessons, and lived experiences, he invites readers to reconsider what it means to truly be present in their own lives.

When he isn’t working or spending time with his family, Brian enjoys yoga, hiking, rucking, reading and listening to books, and continuing the lifelong experiment of figuring out what it means to be human.
